Quality of Experience Analyser

In April 2011, AWTG launched the “Quality of Experience Analyser”, an end-to-enduser experience benchmarking and testing tool that allows network providers to understand and analyse the customer experience in a simple and cost efficient way. The Quality of Experience Analyser allows clients to target and focus their effort on actual customer network experience issues, by means of a comprehensive and out of the box solution that fulfils their need to analyse and measure network performance from their customers’ point of view.

Opportunities and Challenges

Third annual seminar on "Towards LTE and Beyond: Opportunities and Challenges" to be held on the 14 October 2009- At 9.00AM to 4.30PM - Royal Garden Hotel, London, UK, organised by the AWTG. The main speakers at the seminar will be Prof. Aghvami and guests from Industry. This seminar will also highlight the future direction of emerging wireless technologies and their standards.

Wireless network workshop in Dubai in June

AWTG ran its second WiMAX and future wireless network workshop in Dubai in June. The workshop was presented by professor Aghvami and was attended by operators and vendors from across the region. AWTG would like to thank British Telecom for its contribution to this workshop. AWTG is planning to hold its next workshop in Europe. WiMAX mobility planning software

AWTG launches its own WiMAX mobility planning software for uplink and downlink simulation. The software is used as an added value service for our customer projects.

  • At least 4 years experience of UMTS
  • Good knowledge of UMTS Optimization
  • Experience of XCAP, TEMS & Nemo tools.

Good understanding of IP mobile technology (UTRAN and core network) based on different vendors Solid background on WAN and enhanced IP networks (distributed IP networks) Good experience on Microsoft services design and troubleshooting Solid experience on IP mobile Network monitoring and troubleshooting Expert on IP traffic engineering and QoS design and troubleshooting Expert on network routing protocols and features (OSPF,ISIS,BGP,MPLS...) Familier with IP/TR related 3G KPIs and reports.
Experience on migration preparation plan from legacy network to NGN IP network based on new topology model.

Job Title: Senior or Principle Engineers

We require Senior or Principle Engineers who are familiar with one or combination of the following vendors;

1 - NSN
2 - Ericson
3 - Huawei

In UMTS and HSPA+. Ideally you should be able to handle RNC parameters and make parameters recommendations for R99 and HSPA+

Ideal you should have a minimum 3 Years experience in 3G.

Associate Engineer with a solid working knowledge in supporting, trouble shooting, designing and configuration of complicated wireless networks and communications systems.

Min requirement:

  • At least 1 years experience on the design and implementation of outdoor Wi-Fi networks
  • Experience of working with at least 6 top Wi-Fi Vendors
  • Good experience on outdoor wireless technologies (WiFi: 802.11 a/b/g/n, Point t Point links: multiple vendors over several frequency ranges (2.4GHz, 5.8GHz, 60GHz)…)
  • Ability to diagnose and rectify faults in wireless networks.
  • Well conversed in using MapInfo to deliver detailed network designs
  • Experienced in using Airmagnet for both planning and Surveying Wi-Fi networks
  • Good in writing technical proposal for different clients and good delivering presentations
  • Good in conducting tests,  analysing results and compiling conclusions into professional reports for clients
  • Good post processing skills using both Excel and maybe Matlab
  • Basic 3G knowledge and capable of conducting drive tests including writing Nemo Scripts
  • Diploma/Degree in telecommunication / IT is preferred but not compulsory

 

Salaries range from: £22,000 - £25,000 with Min 1 year relevant experience, plus yearly bonus
