AWTG at Connected Britain 2025: Showcasing Innovation, Collaboration, and the Future of Connectivity

Connected Britain 2025 was a milestone event for AWTG. Two days filled with innovation, collaboration, and meaningful discussions that reaffirmed our commitment to building a smarter, more connected UK.

At our booth, technology came to life through a live private 5G setup powered by FlexRAN and a demonstration of the Kai AI Platform, showcasing practical applications across customer service, HR, bid support, and telecom integration. These demonstrations illustrated how AWTG’s unique blend of AI, connectivity, and Open RAN expertise is enabling both enterprises and public sector partners to enhance performance, drive innovation, and deliver more efficient, data-driven services.

Our leadership in digital infrastructure was further recognised as CORE HDD (Cambridgeshire Open RAN Ecosystem), where AWTG serves as Technical Lead Partner, received the Smart Places Award at the Connected Britain Awards. Other AWTG-led projects, Borderlands 5G Innovation Region, England’s Connected Heartland, and SCONDA, were also shortlisted, showcasing the breadth of our work in 5G deployment, Open RAN innovation, and smart governance across the UK.

Beyond the technology and recognition, the real highlight was the people: the partners, clients, and visitors who stopped by the stand to engage in conversations about AI, Smart Cities, and the digital future of public services. AWTG extends sincere thanks to DSIT and all consortium partners for their ongoing support and collaboration.

AWTG will continue to pioneer the convergence of AI, 5G, and Open RAN, working closely with industry and government to advance Digital UK, creating intelligent, sustainable, and inclusive infrastructure that connects communities and empowers the nation’s digital future.
