AWTG is delighted to have played a major part in the creation of Liverpool City Region’s BeMore portal which has been recognised and selected as the winner of the Technology category at the prestigious 2023 LGC Awards.
The LGC Awards is a highly acclaimed ceremony that provides local government officers and politicians the opportunity to have their innovative projects recognised and acknowledged, as well as inspire other councils to strive for service excellence.
In 2022, the BeMore portal was redesigned and redeveloped by the AWTG team along with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to meet the needs of its 1.6 million residents and businesses.
All of the important information, such as apprenticeships, careers and employment information, videos, case studies and augmented reality, are now all accessible in one place, alongside a fully functional app with push notifications and personalised recommendations for various career and employment opportunities. Additionally, real-time updates on job vacancies in the area are also made possible and users can craft their CVs all within the website or mobile application.
The new portal has seen remarkable success with a three-fold increase in monthly users according to the Liverpool City Region news. This speaks volumes of the power of innovation and the lasting effects it has on the sector and users. At AWTG, we are keen to keep expanding on these ideas to provide better opportunities for its users.

“For far too long, our young people have been held back from fulfilling their full potential, not by a lack of talent, but a lack of opportunity – and I’m on a mission to change that. Like my Young Person’s Guarantee, BeMore is an important tool in ensuring the next generation get the guidance and signposting they need to move into the careers of their dreams.
“Through devolution we are charting our own course and piloting new, innovative projects that Westminster and Whitehall never would have had the capacity or willpower to deliver. The results speak for themselves. We need the government to recognise that by extending devolution and giving us more powers to shape our own destinies.”
