AWTG is thrilled to have attended and supported the launch of My Youth Club by Limerick Youth Service (LYS). The application that is created and developed by AWTG, is now available for download on both Android and iOS platforms in Ireland.

Minister Kieran O’Donnell led the launch alongside Limerick Youth Service’s Strategic Plan at Lava Javas Youth Café on Monday, 16th October. In attendance was AWTG’s Director of Telecom Solutions, Andy Thomas, who lent his support to this remarkable event.

Andy Thomas of AWTG said:

“It was a pleasure to have attended the LYS launch event and see how the new LYS application will simplify the running of youth clubs in Limerick City & County and how this will impact young people’s lives, AWTG is delighted to have been able to contribute to the strategy of LYS and it’s vision for Youth Clubs in Ireland, we look forward to working with other Regional Youth Services in Ireland.

The My Youth Club app was developed in collaboration with Youth Work Ireland, making it an invaluable resource for young people, volunteers, and parents of Limerick Youth Service’s volunteer-led youth clubs. Through the app, accessing relevant information and resources for youth clubs and children has become simpler for volunteers and parents alike. The app will be available to other youth organisations throughout the country via Youth Work Ireland’s federation of youth clubs.

AWTG has achieved yet another significant milestone in its mission to provide innovative solutions to the challenges of youth development. With the addition of this remarkable event to its long list of achievements, AWTG is now better equipped to pursue further innovations that will empower the youth of today and ensure that their benefits endure for generations to come.

Fiona O’Grady, Limerick Youth Service CEO, shares

“The My Youth Club app is an exciting development that will make it easier for volunteers and parents to access information about Limerick Youth Service’s youth clubs.  The app will make the access to resources and information more accessible to volunteers and parents.

Covid-19 had an adverse effect on volunteer led youth clubs with many unable to open. As we look to re-energise the vital clog in the lives of young people, this new app is a welcome and attractive addition.

As Limerick Youth Service celebrates its 50th anniversary, it is fitting that this app demonstrates that we are an adaptable and progressive organisation, that embraces new developments as we continue to support young people across Limerick.”
