AWTG is thrilled to announce another collaboration with England’s Connected Heartland (ECH) as part of the innovative 5G Railway project. Not only is the 5G Railway project aiming to improve connectivity between Bicester and Bletchley, but on top of this project, AWTG is delighted to be offering AI-powered platforms that promise to deliver substantial benefits to communities across the ECH region.
As part of the contract with ECH, AWTG, as the key technology partner of the 5G Railway project, is introducing these platforms as part of a broader social value commitment. These platforms will provide an exciting opportunity to enrich the areas through innovative technology. The council partners involved in the ECH programme include Oxfordshire County Council; Buckinghamshire Council; Berkshire’s unitary authorities: West Berkshire Council, Reading Borough Council, Wokingham Borough Council, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Bracknell Forest Council, and Slough Borough Council; Central Bedfordshire; and Cambridgeshire County Council. Due to the collaborative ECH programme, all council areas stand to benefit from AWTG’s platforms, extending the social value across a large area.
The goals of the initiative include facilitating youth employment and skill development. AWTG will offer three of its AI-powered platforms that will benefit youth development immensely – iBecome, iYouth, and Kai.

Kai, AI Assistant, supports charities, government organisations, and VCSEs by automating tasks and improving communication. Kai excels at simplifying operations, improving user interactions, and offering personalisation. Kai’s easy integration and multi-LLM (Large Language Model) capabilities make it a versatile solution that does not require any coding knowledge. With multi-language support and analytics, Kai provides a scalable platform that enhances service delivery and engagement.
The iBecome platform is designed to empower young individuals by providing tools for creating professional CVs, finding apprenticeships, and accessing personalised career guidance. This platform aims to connect local talent with employment opportunities, particularly in emerging industries. It also aims to enhance student engagement and streamline administrative tasks.
iYouth is set to improve event management for schools and youth organisations, ensuring efficient registration, event scheduling, and better communication with parents. By automating these processes, iYouth saves valuable time for staff and boosts student participation. The initiative also seeks to enhance public and community services.
AWTG is actively collaborating with council partners in the ECH region to explore interest in integrating the iBecome apprenticeship platform on relevant council-owned websites. AWTG will also be directly contacting schools in the ECH region to gauge interest in iYouth. AWTG will reach out to charities and VCSEs across the ECH region to assess interest in the Kai AI platform. For further information and to explore the benefits these platforms can offer to your area, AWTG’s project lead, Peter Najm, will be reaching out to the target audiences directly. AWTG is available to provide detailed demonstrations and support in integrating these tools into local systems.
If you wish to know more about the project, platforms or simply would like to know what AWTG can offer, send us an email at info@awtg.co.uk.
