AWTG is proud to share today’s achievement as Dr. Sanaz Soltani, AWTG’s Senior Network Engineer, presented the successful Flexi-DAS project to the UK-ROK research community at the SOLiD Laboratory in South Korea.

During the presentation, Dr. Soltani showcased the innovative solution and the integration of Distributed Antenna System (DAS).

Flexi-DAS is currently in the process of developing flexible DAS radio heads/units that utilise field-programmable and flexible radio chipsets, as well as Radio Frequency Identification cards. Additionally, the project is testing Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) that can be reflective (as placed on walls) or transmissive (as placed on windows) to steer radio signals and extend coverage to difficult to reach areas.
