AWTG’s FlexRAN

AWTG will feature demonstrations of FlexRAN, an open reference architecture that allows network operators and telecom equipment manufacturers to construct software-defined RANs (SD-RAN). AWTG’s advanced Core Network provides a complete range of features designed to enhance the 5G private network experience. With seamless mobility and strong slicing capabilities, it ensures consistent and effective connectivity. Expect other innovative demonstrations as well from the likes of immersive VR experiences, and cutting-edge AI technology, showcasing AWTG’s commitment to technological advancement.

The SCONDA initiative, led by AWTG in partnership with the Scotland 5G Centre will also be present at the event. SCONDA is designed to tackle the specific technical and commercial challenges associated with deploying 5G and OpenRAN in areas of high-density demand. This initiative is a part of the Open Network Ecosystem Competition and represents the world’s first integration of OpenRAN and Traditional RAN technologies in such a complex environment. The project highlights AWTG’s key role in various DSIT consortiums, where they apply their expertise in OpenRAN and AI technology to provide significant economic and social benefits.

In addition to AWTG and the Scotland 5G Centre, the SCONDA project is also backed up with a powerhouse consortium partners, including Three, Freshwave Group, Mavenir, University of Surrey, PI Works, University of Glasgow, and Accenture.
