AWTG’s to share insights about Enhanced Security in Open RAN at EuCNC and 6G Summit

As AWTG continues to shape the future of telecommunications security, AWTG’s Security Technical Lead, Dr. Sanaz Soltani, will be one of the speakers at EuCNC and 6G Summit’s Speakers Corner on June 3 – 6.

Dr. Soltani will delve into a groundbreaking subject of iTrustRIC: An Intelligent Trusted RIC in Open RAN, offering insights into bolstering security within the increasingly open networks of the 5G era and beyond.

The iTrustRIC innovation introduces an innovative approach to secure Open RAN architecture by embedding intelligence and trust into the RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC). This approach represents a significant shift from the traditional perimeter defence mechanisms to a more holistic and robust security framework capable of identifying, mitigating, and preventing internal and external security threats.

As part of her talk, Dr. Soltani will discuss the conceptual foundations of iTrustRIC, its potential implications for the future of network security, and how it can foster a safer and more resilient digital ecosystem for MNOs and their customers.

The EuCNC and 6G Summit in Antwerp is highly anticipated, gathering industry experts, academics, and policymakers to explore the latest advancements and future directions in 5G and 6G technologies.

Dr. Soltani’s speaking schedule will be on June 4, 2024, 3:30pm at the Speaker’s Corner, Flanders Meeting and Convention Center.
