AWTG is proud of our Security Technical Lead, Dr. Sanaz Soltani, for being featured by DSIT as one of the Faces of Digital Infrastructure on their recent WiDI (Woman in Digital Infrastructure) newsletter. Her recognition in various DSIT-funded projects, in which AWTG participated, also highlights the company’s commitment to empowering women in STEM and the digital infrastructure space.

The Women in Digital Infrastructure (WiDI) network has been established not only to fulfil various internal goals but also to encourage more women to pursue careers in the sector. In line with this initiative, DSIT has been collaborating with Ofcom and major players in the telecoms industry. They have signed a pledge to enhance the role of women in technology-based positions within the telecoms sector. All signatories of the pledge are committed to increasing senior representation of women in tech-based roles, which not only fosters diverse decision-making and thought leadership but also inspires other women to pursue and excel in these careers. They aim to invest in attracting and retaining women by creating inclusive environments where women can thrive and be their best selves.  Transparency in diversity and inclusion strategies is also a priority, with strategies and progress being published to maintain accountability and focus on goals. AWTG, a long-time partner of DSIT through various consortium projects, also endorses the same pledge. As part of its support, AWTG is delighted to highlight the incredible women leading in the Digital Infrastructure Network.
