AWTG attended the IEEE ICC 2019 conference on the 20th-24th of May in Shanghai that includes meetings for the IEEE Communication Society Standards Development Board (COM/SDB), on which Dr. Oliver Holland, Technical Projects Manager of AWTG serves as Vice-Chair and is responsible for directly or indirectly overseeing all IEEE standards that are sponsored by the IEEE Communication Society.

This is one of the largest technical societies of the IEEE, noting that all IEEE standards efforts are ultimately sponsored (through the relevant committees) by an IEEE technical society.
