AWTG is delighted to announce to be part of the Study and Working Groups reviewing IEEE P2301

As part of AWTG’s objective to contribute to raising the world’s standard that help make technology better, safer, and more sustainable for the future, AWTG is proud to inform of its participation in IEEE Standards Association (IEEE SA) to reviewing the IEEE Standard P2301, Guide for Cloud Portability and Interoperability Profiles (CPIP).

The Cloud Computing Standards Committee (CCSC)  of IEEE approved the Project Authorization Request (PAR)  to review the Standard P2301. It was then submitted to the IEEE SA New Standards Committee (NesCom) for approval in December 2022. NesCom, has now approved  the PAR for the IEEE Standard P2301, Guide for Cloud Portability and Interoperability Profiles (CPIP) to reviewed. The project commences in March 2023 and it is expected to be completed in 2027.

The IEEE SA is a worldwide collective of experts from various disciplines, including academia, government, industry, and professional societies. They are devoted to the development of standards, covering a broad scope of topics, such as technical content, methodologies, processes, administration, review, revision and approval, publication, creation of working groups, coordination with other organizations, education, and promotion of cooperation among all stakeholders, including governments and international bodies.

AWTG will participate in both the Study and Working Groups which will be reviewing IEEE P2301.

IEEE SA was formed in 1961 as an independent organization with its own governing Board comprised of leading professionals from academia, government, industry and professional societies who have been selected by their peers for their leadership skills and experience in particular fields.
